We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to drive delivery of data & analytics solutions for a leading insurance client.
This role is ideal for someone who can bridge business needs with data engineering & BI teams, translating complex requirements into actionable backlog items.
Role Details:
- Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)
- Duration: 5-months initial contract & high possibility of extension
- Interview: 2 rounds (Video Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog for Data & BI initiatives
- Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Partner with stakeholders, data engineers, and BI teams to deliver scalable data solutions
- Prioritize features based on business value and data strategy
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Refinement, PI Planning, etc.)
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment of delivered data products and reports
Must Have:
- Experience as a Technical Product Owner / Data Product Owner / Technical BA (Data-heavy)
- Strong understanding of data & analytics environments
- Hands-on experience with: SQL (required), Python (preferred)
- Experience with BI tools: Tableau / Power BI
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms: AWS (Redshift, SageMaker, or similar)
- Strong experience with backlog management, user stories, and stakeholder communication
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Insurance / Financial Services domain
- Understanding of data modeling (star schema, etc.)
- Exposure to data governance / data quality practices
