Position Overview:
As the first point of contact for our patients, the Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a positive and seamless experience. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge of dental insurance and billing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression
- Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently for Hygienists and Doctor
- Manage incoming calls and patient inquiries with excellent customer service
- Verify dental insurance coverage and process claims accurately
- Presents treatment plans to patients
- Handle billing, payments, and financial arrangements with transparency and care
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient files
- Manage medical and dental records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system compliance with privacy regulations
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
- Two years of previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, claims processing, and billing procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with dental practice management software is preferred, specifically OpenDental
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
