Duties
- Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service to create a positive first impression
- Schedule and modify appointments
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including intake and documentation review
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, answering inquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate dental records, medical history forms, and treatment documentation
- Process payments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and managing health information securely
- Assist with insurance verification, claim submissions, and follow-up to optimize revenue cycle management
- Support clinic operations by filing documents, managing office supplies, and coordinating care plans as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office administration or medical receptionist roles with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding practices (recommended)
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar platforms is preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
