Lead Cabinet Installer - Cabinet Restoration (Paid Weekly, Opportunities for Advancement!)

Job Overview

We are seeking a driven, high-performing Lead Cabinet Installation Technician to anchor our Northern Virginia field operations based out of Springfield, VA. As our first lead field hire, you will take immediate ownership of the job site, serving as the professional face of our company to customers, restoration companies, and insurance adjusters.

This is a critical leadership-track role reporting directly to the owners. You will execute precise field cabinet removals and installations while collaborating with our shop's Lead Builder and Lead Finisher. As we rapidly expand our team this year, you will have the opportunity to head our field department, establish standard installation procedures, and eventually train and manage junior Installation Technicians.

Your expertise in cabinet installation and customer service will contribute to transforming spaces and revitalizing water or fire damaged cabinets with precision and care. Responsibilities

• Field Leadership: Serve as the primary on-site lead for all residential and commercial cabinet restoration, removal, and installation projects.
• Precision Execution: Perform cabinet installations, Emergency Cabinet Removals (ECR), and on-site trim/molding touch-ups with precision. Build and install support stands and bracing systems.
• Client & Project Accountability: Act as the main point of contact on-site. Ensure proper handling of customer property. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure all on-site employees represent the company with professionalism. Walk clients through completed work to secure signed Certificates of Satisfaction (COS), and maximize 5-star customer reviews.
• Technology & Workflow: Utilize the DASH job management mobile app on each job to log project documentation, complete ECR and Installation checklists, upload photos, and track job progress.
• Safety & Logistics: Safely operate the provided company work van to transport tools, cabinets, and materials. Enforce strict safety protocols, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles.
• Technical Skill: Use a wide range of tools including table saws, routers, edge banders, planers, sanders, and other power tools.
• Shop Collaboration: Assist with shop production tasks (cabinet building, finishing, and organizing) as needed to maintain optimal workflow.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control checks for all on-site work, ensuring high-quality on site execution

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3 years of professional finish carpentry, cabinet installation, remodeling, or structural woodworking experience. Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail in installation work.
• Leadership Mindset: A proactive, solution-oriented professional eager to take ownership of field results and step into a formal management role as the team grows. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Technical Skill: Mastery of field power tools, table saws, routers, and leveling/fastening systems. Ability to construct stable support stands and bracing systems on-site. Ability to read and execute detailed installation plans and layouts.
• Customer Facing: Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor suitable for high-end homes and commercial sites. Skilled at handling any issues that arise with customers, insurance adjusters, and restoration partners.
• Logistics & Tech: Valid driver’s license with a clean record to operate company vans. Comfortable using smartphones/tablets for digital job tracking (DASH experience a plus).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift and carry cabinetry (up to 75 lbs), work on your feet, and handle the physical demands of cabinet removals and installations safely.
