Renard's Cheese is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team.
Primary Function
The Maintenance Assistant supports maintenance and general duties across multiple departments. This role follows company procedures and management standards, works effectively in a fast-paced environment, and maintains strong attention to detail while handling multiple tasks. The position supports compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety regulations, and company guidelines. The ideal candidate is a positive team player who follows instructions and can work in wet or slippery conditions, loud environments, and varying temperatures.
Responsibilities
· Complete scheduled preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment as assigned.
· Perform general property maintenance.
· Handle landscaping and snow removal duties.
· Keep the supervisor informed of problems or unusual issues to support timely corrective action.
· Record maintenance activities in the MaintainX system.
· Maintain knowledge of equipment and maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
· Maintain a safe, clean, positive, and organized work environment.
· Build strong working relationships with department employees and management.
· Follow and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices.
· Follow all safety policies and procedures.
· Contribute as a dependable team member.
· Support an efficient workflow to complete scheduled maintenance and required projects.
