Senior Accounting Manager (CPA)

Location: Virginia Beach, VA (On-site)

Compensation: Up to $100,000/year (DOE)

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to lead core accounting functions and drive financial accuracy across our manufacturing operations. This role is hands-on, strategic, and essential to maintaining compliance, optimizing systems, and supporting business decisions. CPA is required.

Duties

• Manage daily accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, and payroll
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
• Prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations
• Optimize SAP workflows and financial systems
• Oversee cash flow, forecasting, and liquidity planning
• Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory filings
• Collaborate with tax advisors and internal teams on tax strategy
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Provide financial insights to operations and leadership
• Support additional finance tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification (required)
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership
• Strong audit and financial reporting background
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in manufacturing environments (preferred)
• Expertise in sales tax filings and corporate tax compliance
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
• Clear communication and collaborative mindset
