Senior Accounting Manager (CPA)
Location: Virginia Beach, VA (On-site)
Compensation: Up to $100,000/year (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time
We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Manager to lead core accounting functions and drive financial accuracy across our manufacturing operations. This role is hands-on, strategic, and essential to maintaining compliance, optimizing systems, and supporting business decisions. CPA is required.
Duties
- Manage daily accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, and payroll
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
- Prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations
- Optimize SAP workflows and financial systems
- Oversee cash flow, forecasting, and liquidity planning
- Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with tax advisors and internal teams on tax strategy
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Provide financial insights to operations and leadership
- Support additional finance tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification (required)
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership
- Strong audit and financial reporting background
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in manufacturing environments (preferred)
- Expertise in sales tax filings and corporate tax compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset
