Job Summary – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Nights
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting, primarily during night shifts (3x12s, including Friday and Saturday every other weekend).
- Manage critically ill adult patients with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2.
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for all documentation (EPIC experience required).
- Perform advanced nursing interventions for patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, renal failure, and COVID-19.
- Monitor and manage patients using telemetry and ventilators.
- Initiate and maintain IV therapy, including starting IVs and managing Alaris IV pumps.
- Conduct continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemic patients.
- Operate specialized equipment including NxStage CRRT, GE cardiac monitors, GE ventilators, and boom lifts in patient rooms.
- Adhere to all AHA certification requirements (BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive critical care.
- Preferred: Previous travel nursing experience and advanced proficiency with EPIC documentation system.
