Join a leading provider of data center commissioning services as a Mechanical Commissioning Agent II. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commissioning projects for large-scale data center facilities, ensuring all systems meet operational requirements and quality standards.
- Review client design packages, specifications, and equipment submittals to ensure alignment with project goals and commissioning best practices.
- Develop and execute commissioning test procedures for critical systems, including generators, CRAC units, AHUs, humidifiers, sprinkler systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, exhaust fans, and digital electrical distribution equipment.
- Monitor and analyze Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Level 3 equipment tests, documenting results and identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test reports, logs, checklists, and recommendations for optimizing building operations.
- Participate in daily commissioning meetings and collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Assist with field troubleshooting and provide technical support for commissioned equipment as needed.
- Travel to project sites as required (up to approximately 75%, with variation based on project needs).
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Associates degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on complex facilities or mission-critical projects.
- Previous experience in data center or mission-critical environments is required.
- Experience with electrical equipment testing in critical facilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures and protocols is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of systems design for large-scale projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively as project needs dictate.
Offered compensation: $85,000/yr - $102,000/yr
