We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring CNC machines operate safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment, along with strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose and repair issues involving CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar systems
- Respond quickly to machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Install, test, and commission new equipment and machine upgrades
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
- Utilize diagnostic tools, meters, and calibration equipment to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and applicable regulations
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred
- 3 years of industrial or CNC maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of CNC machine controls and manufacturing equipment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including reading electrical schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in precision alignment and machine repair
- Experience troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
- Proficiency using diagnostic equipment, electrical meters, and calibration tools
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience maintaining CNC mills, lathes, and automated manufacturing equipment
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar CNC control systems
- Technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical technology, or a related field
- Experience supporting continuous improvement and preventive maintenance initiatives
