Position Summary
Reliance One is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Engineer to support production, improve molding equipment and processes, reduce downtime and scrap, and lead corrective-action initiatives within a manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Identify equipment and process improvements that increase quality, safety, ergonomics, and cost savings
- Troubleshoot injection molding processes, tooling, equipment, and quality concerns
- Implement permanent corrective actions using root-cause analysis
- Inspect incoming molds and equipment for compliance with build specifications
- Provide responsive production support to minimize downtime
- Support product development and Design for Manufacturing principles
- Assist with validation trials, feasibility studies, and performance testing
- Develop specifications, tooling, processes, and training procedures
- Lead scrap-reduction and lean-manufacturing initiatives
- Support Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- Maintain compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 standards
- Supervise direct reports and support their development
- Remain available for on-call production needs
- Travel as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Direct experience in an injection molding manufacturing facility or substantial injection molding expertise
- Strong mechanical aptitude and industrial troubleshooting skills
- Ability to analyze manufacturing equipment and processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, leadership, and supervisory skills
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience preferred
- Willingness to provide on-call support and travel when required
