We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician for Second Shift to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring that all products meet customer, company (RGC), and industry specifications. This role is hands-on and highly technical, working closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to maintain and continuously improve product quality.
The ideal candidate has strong inspection experience, understands quality systems, and is comfortable working on the production floor in a precision manufacturing environment.

You Should Be Proficient In
The ideal candidate has strong inspection experience, understands quality systems, and is comfortable working on the production floor in a precision manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Inspect incoming vendor materials and outgoing customer shipments
- Read and interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and control plans
- Use precision inspection tools (ID/OD micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMMs, Hofler gear inspection machine, tooth verniers)
- Program and operate manual and CNC CMMs (PC-DMIS / Modus preferred)
- Perform and maintain calibration activities
- Identify and reject nonconforming materials and assist with corrective actions
- Assist production employees with proper measurement methods
- Support PPAP / ISIR, process capability studies, and first article activities
- Organize quality documentation and customer files
- Participate in internal audits and supplier quality activities
- 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality assurance
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment
- Basic math and geometry skills
- Calibration experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with bevel gear manufacturing preferred
- Production floor and CNC machining environment
