Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Temporary Recruiter to lead our hiring efforts for skilled HVAC professionals, Plumbers and Electricians during our peak season. You will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of HVAC Technicians, Installers, Plumbers and Electricians. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of the mechanical trades and can effectively "speak the language" of field technicians to build a strong talent pipeline.
Essential Functions
- Identify, attract and source hard-to-find passive talent using different niche sites/channels such as LinkedIn, social media platforms, recruitment sites, job boards and cold calling
- Targeted screening – utilizing industry-specific job boards like HVAC Agent and other resources to identify qualified talent.
- Technical screening – verify candidates qualifications, EPA and or NATE certification, relevant state licensing and or experience with residential/commercial systems
- Pipeline Management – maintain a steady flow of candidates for high-turnover or high-demand roles
- Develop partnerships with local universities/trade schools and diversity programs
- Manage job postings on Reliable’s career website as well as other relevant posting websites
- Collaborate with Managers to evaluate applications, compile interview questions, and conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates to identify potential fit with the role and company culture
- Ensure all activities follow Equal Employment Opportunity laws and other regulations, as appropriate
- Maintain and promote company policies and procedures pertaining to the established recruitment process
- Manage candidate experience including the onboarding and orientation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist, preferably with prior experience recruiting for HVAC, construction or blue-collar trades
- Familiarity with HVAC system types (residential, commercial, VRF, chillers) and the tools/skills required for each.
- Strong ability to build rapport with field-based workers who may not have traditional resumes.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably ADP Workforce Now, Microsoft office suite advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Knowledge of effective hiring platforms and recruiting techniques to attract top talent.
- Familiarity with a variety of different selection methods (interviews, assignments, psychological test etc.)
- Hands-on experience with posting jobs on social media and job boards
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
