Activities Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Assistant to join our long-term care team in Rome, Georgia.
The ideal candidate will support the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and facilitating recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to the needs of long-term care residents.
- Encourage resident participation and foster a positive, inclusive environment.
- Support the development of individualized activity plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Monitor and document resident engagement and progress during activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean activity area and ensure all equipment is properly used and stored.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to enhance the overall activity program.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Long-Term Care Activities Assistant or similar role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work compassionately with elderly or disabled individuals.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care environment.
