Junior Financial Analyst

R&P is looking for a junior professional who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Junior Financial Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

The candidate shall provide business and financial management support of our customer's Business Financial Manager in the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of their shipbuilding program. Efforts include the following

• Assist in the Government's preparation of SCN, RDT&E and OMN Budgets. Assist in the development and review of budget backup documentation to support production, delivery schedules, and milestones.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and defense of the annual SCN and RDT&E Execution Reviews including a detailed re-evaluation of budget estimates and Estimates at Completion.
• Prepare various exhibits, briefings, and presentations. Conduct analyses, report financial risk, and advise the Government of strategies to mitigate the impact of financial risk on the program.
• Assist the Government with statutory and regulatory financial reporting. Use the latest software or web-enabled process to complete these reports. Maintain all backup documentation and related documents. Maintain records of financial history and related documents. Research and prepare inputs to various financial issues that confront the Program office. Assist financial and budgeting document preparations and reconciliation.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, plus 0-2 years of relevant work experience. Higher degree can be substituted for years of experience.
