The Application Support Engineer/Analyst is part of the ITSME Sustainment Management team - Maintenance & Engineering (M&E/TechOps) operations. This is a critical team keeping the lights on for mechanics, supply chain, and aircraft maintenance operations. The team consists of 4 engineers (mix of onshore/offshore) supporting the airline's technical operations. With over 60 applications to support and ongoing system integration work, the team needs a committed member who can provide steady support. This role is a Level 2 application support and system analysis role focused on keeping systems stable, resolving incidents, maintaining integrations, and ensuring operational continuity
Start Date: December 2025
End Date: December 2026 (1-year contract with multi-year extension potential)
Bill Rate: $55–$70/hr DOE
Work Authorization: Must be able to work on W2
Hours: Hawaii business hours
- Provide Level 2 technical application support across the M&E/TechOps portfolio via ServiceNow.
- Route complex issues to appropriate teams (Service Desk handles L1, this role handles L2).
- Triage incidents, analyze logs, review SQL queries, and identify issues across UI, API, and database layers.
- Differentiate user errors, business process issues, and true technical defects, escalating when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance including patching, environment checks, monitoring, and upgrade support.
- Maintain application stability and day-to-day “keep the lights on” operations
- Understand system architecture, including server interactions, APIs, databases, and integration points.
- Support integrations with systems such as TRAX, MuleSoft, and internal operational APIs.
- Create or update lightweight integration components (API changes, SQL logic, configuration updates).
- Utilize New Relic, Azure monitoring, and internal logs to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
- Collaborate with mechanics, supply teams, and business stakeholders to diagnose and resolve operational problems.
- Partner with Delivery Management and engineering leaders to maintain reliability, compliance, and performance.
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge-sharing, and cross-team alignment as applications evolve.
- Support a portfolio of ~60 applications ranging from simple web tools to enterprise aviation platforms.
- This is NOT a development role - you'll be supporting applications, not building new features.
- Some experience with C#, .NET, and Azure (for system understanding, not heavy coding).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-tier systems (front-end, APIs, databases, servers).
- SQL experience for debugging, log analysis, querying, and integration support.
- Experience supporting applications running on distributed or redundant networks.
- Ability to interpret architecture diagrams and understand system interactions.
- Preferred:
- AWS experience
- New Relic or other application monitoring tools
- MuleSoft or other integration platforms
- Background in system analysis or L2/L3 support engineering
- Experience with enterprise operations, aviation, or ERP systems (not required)
