What You’ll Do
Relate Search has partnered with a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution organization to identify a Contract HR Generalist to support a key business site during an important transition period.
Reporting directly to the HR Director, this individual will play a hands-on role supporting employees across manufacturing, warehouse, and office operations. This is an ideal, 6-month contract opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional looking to gain additional experience and contribute to meaningful compliance, employee relations, and process-improvement initiatives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to day HR support to employees and supervisors, addressing employee relations questions and handling write-ups or investigations.
- Assist with FMLA administration and follow-up through a third-party provider, ensuring accurate documentation in the HRIS.
- Support ongoing HR compliance projects, including I-9 audits, policy documentation, and process standardization.
- Partner with the HR and recruiting administrator to manage new hire onboarding, employee files, and data integrity.
- Create or refine HR documentation and learning materials to improve process consistency.
- Provide support on various projects and employee initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- 4 years of HR Generalist experience.
- Experience supporting hourly or manufacturing workforces strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and follow-through skills, with the ability to balance empathy and business needs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-touch environment with varied responsibilities.
- Must be able to work onsite Monday–Friday.
