Position: Extended Learning Director
Reports To: Preschool, Elementary, and Middle/High School Principals
Status: Full Time, Exempt
Schedule: 52 Weeks: Monday, Tuesday & Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm; Wednesday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Thursday 7:15 am - 4:15 pm (includes summer responsibilities)

Job Summary:
The Extended Learning Director is responsible for the planning, development, and supervision of all extended learning opportunities offered at both campuses. This includes the Before and After Care programs, enrichment classes, clubs, summer programming, and various extracurricular activities. The Director ensures that all programs are safe, engaging, well-organized, and rooted in a Christ-centered environment. This position works closely with school leadership to support student and family needs in alignment with the mission and values of the school.
Qualifications:
- Must be a committed Christian and demonstrate a Christ-centered lifestyle.
- Member of a local church in good standing.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in education, childcare, or program administration.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, event coordination, and program development.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written).
- Ability to manage student behavior effectively and support staff growth.
- Proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office, and school management software.
- CPR/First Aid certification (current or willing to obtain).
Essential Functions:
Program Oversight and Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight for all extended learning opportunities including Before and After Care, clubs, enrichment classes, and summer programs.
- Ensure all programs reflect a safe, Christ-centered environment and align with the school’s values.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate extended learning staff.
- Address performance concerns in a timely, professional, and mission-aligned manner.
- Maintain program records, including attendance, discipline logs, and allergy information.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Develop and manage budgets for all extended learning programs.
- Oversee procurement and inventory of supplies and snacks.
Before and After Care Program
- Design and implement structured, engaging daily activities for students.
- Schedule and manage staff coverage, substitute needs, and payroll records.
- Enforce behavior expectations and maintain a safe, orderly program environment.
Event Coordination (in collaboration with the Events Director and Elementary Principal)
Support and coordinate campus-wide events such as:
- Partners’ Meetings
- Open Houses
- Veterans Day
- Christmas Programs
- Field Day
- Grandparents’ Day
- Awards Assemblies
- Other events as assigned
- Summer Program Administration
Lead the Rejoice Summer Institute and Summer Camp programs.
- Plan and implement a well-rounded summer experience including spiritual, academic, physical, and social enrichment.
- Hire, onboard, and supervise seasonal staff.
- Oversee registration, communication, and family engagement.
- Ensure program materials and facilities are adequately prepared and maintained.
- Promote summer offerings within and beyond the school community.
- Create and manage digital payment forms for all summer programs.
- Clubs and Cocurricular Activities
- Develop and lead academic year enrichment opportunities including clubs and cocurricular activities.
- Coordinate registration, schedules, communication, and facilities.
- Oversee program promotion and maintain accurate financial tracking and payment systems.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
- This is a safety-sensitive position, and employees may be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to stand, walk, and supervise students for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Maintain a secure and orderly environment during all activities.
- Clear verbal communication and auditory ability for safety and supervision.
