Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking candidates to fill full time Overnight Residence Counselor positions working with psychiatrically disabled adults in a residential setting located in Washingtonville, NY.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Establish and maintain good rapport and working relationships with residents.
· Support and encourage residents to meet their goals.
· Instruct people to gain skills of daily living
· Maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
· Supervise self-medication of residents.
· Instruct people on skills of daily living.
· Conduct fire drills.
· Provide advocacy and act as a role model to the people we serve
· Participate, when appropriate, in training sessions designed to enhance growth and skill development.
· Perform other reasonably related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as required.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or greater
Must be computer literate
Active/Valid driver's license
Successful completion of Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance
