Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc., a not-for-profit mental health agency, is seeking a candidate to fill the full time Consumer and Family Sciences Specialist position to work in our 8-bed Transition Age Youth (TAY) Community Residence for individuals ages 16 years to 20 years 11 months in Oneonta, NY. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teaching skill development in the area of indepdennt living; meal planning and preparation, budgeting, understanding benefits, navigating community entities, balancing work with other responsibilities
- Coordinating educational in-services for transition age youth
- Documentation in electronic chart records
Educational Requirements: Bachelors or Associates degree in family and consumer sciences or human services.
Other Requirements:
- Valid/Active NYS driver's license
- Successful completion of a background check including Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance
