Responsibilities- Facilitates communication with ancillary services to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Attends clinical and administrative meetings to integrate inter-departmental sharing of information.
- Assists with nursing admissions, ongoing patient nursing care, and nursing discharge planning under the supervision of the RN.
- Collects and records data in a comprehensive, accurate, and systematic manner.
- Demonstrates knowledge of program policies and procedures and contributes to the development of new policies as needed.
- Shares pertinent information with the team as obtained from patients or family throughout the program.
- Collaborates with medical staff to provide medical and nursing care.
- Attends daily patient staffing and flash meetings.
- Manages clinical nursing activities in a safe, professional manner.
- Ensures compliance with established nursing care standards.
- Participates in ongoing educational courses and in-service training per policies and procedures.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
- Demonstrates objectivity and maturity under stress and responds positively to changing situations in the work setting.
- Works effectively as a team member and demonstrates strong communication skills.
- Manages in a professional manner and role-models a positive image of mental health.
- Reports abuse of patients’ rights immediately.
- Acts decisively and effectively in managing staff, patients, and other employees during emergency situations.
- Valid LPN license in the state of Ohio.
- Completion of an accredited LPN program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Empathy and a commitment to providing the highest level of patient care.
