We are seeking a competitive and highly motivated Jr Sales Engineer individual to expand our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Service Sales and Sales Engineers on the team better service our customers. The primary goal of this entry-level position is to learn refrigeration sales and the engineering responsibilities included within. This role demands strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and intercompany personnel. The position reports directly to the VP of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve the customer’s needs through prompt, thorough and professional service.
- Support the company’s sales efforts in both construction and service. Work directly with sales department personnel to develop projects, project design, cost estimates, and proposal letters for presentation to customers. Through working with Sales Engineers and VP of Sales, candidate will learn the basics of refrigeration system design.
- Utilize the Kelvin Estimating Template or current estimating platform for all cost estimating. Adhere to all Deal Desk/Deal Scoring criteria set forth by Kelvin Group.
- Utilize Salesforce (CRM) software in a disciplined manner to enable Kelvin-wide visibility of sales performance.
- Participate and attend the Sales Meetings, seminars or training sessions as directed by RD&S management.
- Work directly with sales department personnel to develop projects, project design, cost estimates, and proposal letters for presentation to customers.
- Perform updates to price estimating tools and list pricing. These updates shall be coordinated with Salesforce CPQ estimating program.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar field, required.
- Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and complete work while traveling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
