Assistant Football Coaches

Job Summary
Reed City High School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Football Coaches for the upcoming football season. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the field. The Assistant Coaches will work closely with the Head Coach to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development among student-athletes while fostering a positive and competitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily practice sessions, including drills, skill development, and game strategy.
• Provide guidance and support to student-athletes in their physical and mental preparation for games and practices.
• Help monitor the academic progress and conduct of student-athletes to ensure compliance with school and athletic policies.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist in the organization and execution of game-day preparations, including warm-ups, player substitutions, and strategy implementation.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team updates and individual player development.
• Attend coaching meetings, training sessions, and other relevant events as required.
• Promote safety and injury prevention during practices and games.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience or strong knowledge of football preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and connect with student-athletes of varying skill levels.
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches and school staff.
• Must possess a valid CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain one.
• Background check and completion of any required training or certifications by the school district.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends during the football season.
• A passion for mentoring young athletes and promoting their personal and athletic growth.
