Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily practice sessions, including drills, skill development, and game strategy.
- Provide guidance and support to student-athletes in their physical and mental preparation for games and practices.
- Help monitor the academic progress and conduct of student-athletes to ensure compliance with school and athletic policies.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist in the organization and execution of game-day preparations, including warm-ups, player substitutions, and strategy implementation.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team updates and individual player development.
- Attend coaching meetings, training sessions, and other relevant events as required.
- Promote safety and injury prevention during practices and games.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience or strong knowledge of football preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and connect with student-athletes of varying skill levels.
- Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches and school staff.
- Must possess a valid CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain one.
- Background check and completion of any required training or certifications by the school district.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during the football season.
