This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience supporting companies undergoing significant growth, operational transformation, and acquisition activity.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, drive process improvements and automation initiatives, support acquisition integrations, and ensure scalable financial operations as the company continues to expand. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and hands-on experience with NetSuite, Ramp, Planful, and LastPass.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor management, and month-end close support.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounts payable staff while fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and corporate card transactions.
  • Manage and optimize AP workflows within NetSuite and Ramp, identifying opportunities for automation and process standardization.
  • Support the integration of acquired businesses, including onboarding vendors, consolidating payment processes, and aligning controls and procedures across entities.
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, Operations, and M&A teams to support the company's growth strategy and acquisition initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance leadership to establish scalable AP processes that can support a multi-entity environment.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning through coordination with FP&A teams utilizing Planful.
  • Monitor cash disbursements and payment schedules to optimize working capital and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Develop, document, and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Utilize LastPass and other approved security tools to support compliance with company cybersecurity and access management protocols.
  • Prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits, lender reporting, and private equity ownership requirements.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve visibility into AP operations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong experience of accounts payable operations in NetSuite.
  • Hands-on experience with Ramp expense management and corporate card administration.
  • Familiarity with LastPass or comparable password and access management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and accounts payable best practices.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • 5 years of progressive accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience within a private equity-backed, high-growth, or acquisitive organization.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integrations.
  • Experience working with Planful or similar budgeting and forecasting platforms.
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment.
  • Background in service-based, professional services, field services, or recurring-revenue businesses.
  • Experience implementing AP automation and workflow optimization initiatives.
  • CPA, CMA, or other accounting certification is a plus.

What Success Looks Like

  • Accounts payable processes are efficient, scalable, and capable of supporting continued acquisition-driven growth.
  • Vendor payments are accurate, timely, and well-controlled.
  • Newly acquired businesses are integrated smoothly into the company's financial operations.
