Responsibilities
- Support lead contractors and skilled tradespeople with various remodeling tasks including demolition, installation, and finishing work.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely while assisting with tasks such as cabinet installation, tile laying, flooring, drywall work, and painting.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions to help accurately execute project plans.
- Aid in the installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, cabinets, doors, trim carpentry elements, and glass features.
- Support the operation of heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material handling.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to proper procedures for caulking, plastering, masonry, roofing, stucco application, concrete finishing, and other construction activities.
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites or remodeling projects is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, or masonry is a plus.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when needed.
