✨ SALT Senior Accountant

What You’ll Do

• Applies knowledge to understand potential tax issues.
• Evaluates and selects alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance.
• Recognizes and communicates potential risks.
• Identifies potential changes in the tax policy and apply new policies to tax compliance.
• Assists in handling routine questions from federal or state agencies.
• Serves as primary contact for the clients, as needed, including but not limited to preparing and presenting presentations to clients and potential clients.
  
  

💼 What You Bring

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or other relevant field.
• 2 years of prior experience in state and local/multistate
  
  

Preferred

• Master's degree in Accounting/Taxation or J.D.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word
• Ability to use standard tax applications and research tools
• Passed, conditioned, or qualified to take the CPA Exam preferred
• Passed, conditioned, or qualified to take CMI Exam preferred
• Passed, conditioned, or qualified to take Bar Exam preferred

• Working knowledge of appropriate application of tax standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of tax services
• knowledge of sources of relevant information utilized in tax filings
• understanding of cause and effect for taxable conditions on clients and the potential tax issues
• Basic understanding of the ability to represent the client before any tax authority on contested issues
• Ability to create written tax advice
• Assist in Business Development

• Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
