About the Position
The Purchasing Coordinator supports both the Purchasing and Sales teams through product setup, reporting, presentations, pricing updates, and vendor/customer communication. This is a detail-oriented operational support role ideal for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and working with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly sales presentations, reports, and spreadsheets using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Create and maintain new product records in internal business software, including pricing and specifications.
- Analyze and reconcile sales and purchasing data in Excel using tools such as formulas, filters, VLOOKUP, and PivotTables.
- Process pricing updates and distribute change notifications to customers and internal teams via email.
- Maintain and regularly update customer order forms, approved product documentation, price lists, and related sales support materials.
- Build positive vendor relationships and assist with resolving product or pricing issues.
- Support Purchasing and Sales with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college preferred
- 2–4 years of purchasing support, distribution, customer service, or administrative office experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including: VLOOKUP, PivotTables, sorting/filtering, and basic formulas such as SUM and IF
- Experience working with software systems and maintaining accurate product data
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and strong written/verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency
- Ability to work on-site in Carrollton, TX, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional overtime
