SVP of Investments – Student Housing (United States)
A global real estate investment platform is seeking a SVP of Investments to lead acquisitions and strategic growth across its U.S. student housing portfolio (8,000 beds).
This role will lead the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of investment opportunities across key university markets while helping shape the long-term growth strategy of the platform.
Working closely with senior leadership across the U.S., Asia, and Europe, the successful candidate will play a central role in expanding the portfolio through acquisitions, joint ventures, and capital initiatives.
The Role
- Lead origination and execution of student housing acquisitions across the United States
- Develop relationships with brokers, developers, operators, and capital partners
- Manage financial underwriting, due diligence, and transaction structuring
- Lead internal investment committee processes and approvals
- Work alongside asset management to optimize portfolio performance and exits
- Support capital strategies including partnerships, funds, and recapitalization initiatives
The Candidate
- 15 years of experience in real estate investment, private equity, or institutional capital
- Demonstrated track record executing complex real estate transactions in the U.S.
- Experience within student housing or comparable living sectors (multifamily, BTR, etc.)
- Strong financial modelling and capital markets expertise
- Proven leadership capability and experience operating in a global environment

Salary : $200,000 - $240,000
