About the Role:

We are hiring on behalf of a client for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to serve as the clinical and operational cornerstone of a high-growth mail-order pharmacy operation. This is a unique opportunity for a “Founding Pharmacist” who combines strategic leadership, clinical expertise, and operational excellence to build and scale a modern pharmacy facility.

Phoenix is the strategic hub for this operation, offering a premier logistics position and a thriving tech corridor in the Southwest. As PIC, you will architect workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive scalable operational excellence nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Architecture

• Design and implement pharmacy fulfillment workflows from the ground up
• Optimize for “zero-error” throughput and integrate modern digital solutions

Regulatory Leadership

• Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the Arizona facility
• Ensure 100% compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA regulations

Multistate Expansion

• Lead efforts to secure and maintain pharmacy facility and pharmacist licensure in target expansion states

Strategic Leadership

• Serve as the clinical authority to product and engineering teams
• Automate manual tasks and support the development of a tech-first pharmacy experience

Team Building

• Hire, train, and manage a high-performance team of technicians and staff pharmacists
• Establish operational standards as volume scales

Qualifications:

• Active Arizona Pharmacist License in good standing
• Multistate capability: active licenses in 5 additional states or willingness to obtain via reciprocity (NAPLEX/MPJE)
• Extensive experience in mail-order, high-volume digital pharmacy, or complex clinical environments
• Strong strategic operator mindset; able to build systems and playbooks from scratch
• Creative problem-solving: able to find compliant ways to achieve business and patient goals
