Job Title: Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Compensation: $26.00 – $29.50 per hour
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterile Pharmacy Compounding Technician to join our client’s pharmacy team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about precision, compliance, and patient safety in a sterile compounding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound sterile medications in compliance with USP <797> standards
- Ensure strict adherence to sterile compounding protocols and safety guidelines
- Perform aseptic techniques to maintain sterility of compounded products
- Operate and maintain cleanroom environments, laminar flow hoods, and PPE
- Manage inventory of compounding supplies and ensure proper storage/documentation
- Conduct quality control checks for accuracy, sterility, and stability
- Maintain accurate records and labeling in line with regulatory requirements
- Calibrate and maintain compounding equipment
- Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with NABP, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) – preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in sterile compounding or pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of USP <797> guidelines
- Expertise in aseptic techniques and sterile environments
- High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- CSPT certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems and inventory tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
