Restorative Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Restorative Aide to join our healthcare team in Henderson, KY. The Restorative Aide will assist residents in maintaining and improving their physical abilities through restorative care programs, promoting independence and enhancing quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative exercises and activities as directed by the restorative nurse or therapist.
• Encourage and motivate residents to participate in their individualized restorative care plans.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the appropriate healthcare staff.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents during restorative activities.
• Document resident progress and activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in restorative care, nursing assistance, or related field preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and exercises.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Basic knowledge of safety and infection control procedures.
• Must be an SRNA

Work Environment

This position involves working in a healthcare facility with elderly or disabled residents. The role requires physical activity including standing, walking, and assisting residents with mobility. The Restorative Aide will work closely with nursing and therapy staff to provide quality care.
