Job Summary

This role requires strong knowledge of metal building systems, site development, foundations, structural steel, MP&E, interior finishes and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in both estimating and construction project management within commercial or industrial construction.
Responsibilities
Estimating Duties
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents for PEMB and General Contracting projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors).
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and scope clarifications.
- Conduct pre-bid site visits as needed.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Participate in bid reviews and contract negotiations.
- Manage awarded projects from contract execution through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, metal building suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Submit RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Track project budgets, costs, and change orders.
- Conduct project meetings and provide client updates.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Manage billing, pay applications, and lien waivers.
- Oversee punch list completion and final closeout documentation.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction
- Experience specifically with pre-engineered metal building systems required
- Experience managing various industrial, warehouse, agricultural, or commercial projects required
- Experience in managing MP&E and finish trades required
- Strong knowledge of:
- PEMB systems and components (frames, panels, insulation, trim)
- Concrete foundations and slabs
- Structural steel
- Building codes and permitting processes
- MP&E
- Interior Finishes
- Sitework
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, or similar)
- Familiarity with scheduling software (MS Project, Builder Trend or similar)
- Exposure to Construct Connect, Building Connected and other similar bid board platforms
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Leadership and team coordination ability
- Ability to visit job sites and walk uneven terrain
- Occasional lifting of up to 25–50 lbs
- Combination of office work and field visits
Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
