Job Summary
ACCS is seeking a relationship manager to coordinate parallel minor and major gift campaigns throughout the year. The Donor Engagement Manager will support the ACCS President and our part-time Director of Development by maintaining relationships with Corporate Partners and major donors, being the first point of contact for new donors and prospective partners, planning events, and delivering a steady stream of written newsletters to keep small donors informed of the good work ACCS is doing. The Donor Engagement Manager will also track all donors in an appropriate software system and refresh the copy on donor-related portions of the ACCS website.
The ideal candidate will have experience in classical Christian education, as well as knowledge of the ACCS brand and mission to equip and support Classical Christian schools nationally and internationally. The applicant must be a confessing Christian in a Bible-believing church. Responsibilities
- Manage responses to incoming communications from donors or corporate partners.
- Further ACCS’s grant applications by authoring applications, progress reports, and documentation of spending according to grantor’s specifications.
- Attend the Repairing the Ruins Conference and manage relationships with donors and corporate partners.
- Develop and deliver an outbound donor communications strategy including newsletters, “drip email campaigns”, or other approaches to deepen relationships with small donors and mailing list subscribers.
- Own the process of responding to each donation, including authoring a “thank-you” to small donors and flagging executives to follow up on large gifts.
- Assist the Director of Development or President in planning events and campaigns, setting meetings with donors, and managing the ACCS donor database.
- Define an ongoing strategy for relating to major donors: birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
- Manage the ACCS Corporate Partnerships and Business Affiliates programs.
- Oversee the content of ACCS fundraising and donor-relations web pages including integration with donation management software.
- Run the ACCS Annual Fund end of year direct mail campaign.
- Assist with the Battle for the American School initiative including donor communications, event planning, and logistical support.
- The ideal candidate has managed complex projects that involved professional communication and managing key deliverables over 12-18 months.
- The ideal candidate has demonstrated proficiency with mail, email, and social media campaigns and knows how to use standard CRM software to manage donor relationships (ACCS currently uses Nutshell).
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors or Masters degree and a demonstrated ability to write for a public newsletter or similar, work independently, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Experience fundraising for an independent Classical Christian school, Christian education nonprofit, or Christian university is highly desirable.
- Experience with ACCS’s Repairing the Ruins conference and one or more ACCS member schools is highly desirable.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
