Housekeeper

Job Overview

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors using appropriate floor care techniques.
• Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and disinfected according to health standards, including bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing with care.
• Maintain cleanliness of carpets through professional carpet cleaning methods and equipment.
• Prepare meals or assist with basic cooking tasks as needed to support residents’ or guests’ needs.
• Manage custodial tasks including waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment in excellent condition.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing residents’ or guests’ requests promptly and professionally.
• Follow safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures to promote a healthy environment for all occupants.
• Assist with housekeeping management tasks when required, including scheduling cleaning routines and supervising other staff members.

Experience

• Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of janitorial practices, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
• Experience with laundry operations and fabric care techniques.
• Background in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is advantageous.
• Familiarity with floor care equipment such as buffers or steam cleaners is beneficial.
• Previous experience in housekeeper management or supervising cleaning staff is a plus.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
