Hotel Housekeeper

Job Summary

Duties

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a fresh and inviting atmosphere
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and conference spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
• Perform detailed floor care tasks including carpet cleaning, polishing hard floors, and using industrial cleaning equipment to uphold safety and appearance standards
• Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, linens, and other supplies to meet guest needs efficiently
• Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety standards
• Follow established health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to protect yourself and guests alike
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned to maintain overall hotel hygiene

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning within a hospitality or janitorial setting; hotel experience is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and industrial floor maintenance
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively in various environments
• Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
• Knowledge of custodial practices combined with hospitality awareness ensures a welcoming atmosphere for guests
