Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a fresh and inviting atmosphere
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and conference spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Perform detailed floor care tasks including carpet cleaning, polishing hard floors, and using industrial cleaning equipment to uphold safety and appearance standards
- Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, linens, and other supplies to meet guest needs efficiently
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety standards
- Follow established health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to protect yourself and guests alike
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned to maintain overall hotel hygiene
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning within a hospitality or janitorial setting; hotel experience is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and industrial floor maintenance
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively in various environments
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
- Knowledge of custodial practices combined with hospitality awareness ensures a welcoming atmosphere for guests
