We are seeking professional and attentive Banquet/Event Servers to ensure the success of events by delivering exceptional service to guests. The ideal candidates will set up, serve food and beverages, and provide outstanding hospitality while maintaining the event's flow and atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Setup: Prepare event spaces by arranging tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet stations, and other decor according to event specifications.
- Guest Service: Greet and assist guests, answer questions about the menu, and accommodate special requests as needed.
- Food and Beverage Service: Serve plated meals, manage buffet stations, or pass hors d'oeuvres and beverages during events. Refill drinks and clear plates promptly.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep tables, buffet areas, and serving stations clean and organized during the event. Clear and reset tables efficiently.
- Event Breakdown: Remove dishes, linens, and decorations after events and return the space to its original condition.
- Communication: Collaborate with the kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure seamless service and address any issues that arise during the event.
- Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, serving protocols, and alcohol service laws.
- Adaptability: Adjust to the flow of the event, whether it's serving a sit-down dinner, cocktail party, or wedding reception.
- Problem Solving: Address guest concerns or issues promptly and escalate to the event manager if needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a banquet server or in a hospitality role is preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs.
- Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service guidelines is a plus.
