Job Title: Janitor / Custodian (Midway Lodge) – Part-Time
Location: Red Lodge Mountain – Midway Lodge / On-Mountain
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Status: Seasonal | Non-Exempt | Part-Time
Wage: DOE
Typical Schedule: Daytime shifts (must be available weekends/holidays)

Midway Lodge is the mountain’s mid-day headquarters: warm-ups, refuels, gear explosions, and “we just needed a bathroom break” moments. You’re the person who keeps it clean, stocked, and running smoothly—so guests can grab a breather and get back to the fun.

What You’ll Do (The Midway Glow-Up)
- Keep Midway Lodge and nearby public areas clean and guest-ready (restrooms common spaces)
- Clean and restock bathrooms throughout the day (because that’s the real MVP work)
- Empty and transport garbage and recycling
- Jump in on snow removal as needed (shoveling/snow blowing)
- Help other departments with cleaning/maintenance issues as assigned
- Communicate effectively in person and via phone/two-way radio
- Travel to or between facilities as needed (may include chairlift, snowmobile, or snow grooming machines)

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- General janitorial/cleaning skills
- Self-motivated, efficient, dependable
- Ability to work weekends/holidays and occasional emergency situations
- Reliable transportation and ability to safely drive in adverse winter conditions
- Intermediate skier or snowboarder (required)
- Ability to safely travel to on-mountain buildings via chairlifts, skiing, or snowboarding
- Ability to move snow, stand/walk for extended periods, and move safely in varying terrain conditions
Nice to Have (Not Required, But We’ll Love You For It)
- Prior janitorial/custodial experience
- Experience working with the public and providing great customer service
- Knowledge of the ski industry
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions (Real Talk)
- Stand/walk 90% of your shift; lift/move 50 lbs
- Work on uneven terrain and in snow/ice; shovel snow; bend/stoop
- Frequent outdoor winter work in extreme cold, wind, and wet conditions; may work near moving mechanical parts
