Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented On-Call Banquet Busser to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our banquet service operations, ensuring that event spaces are impeccably maintained and guests experience seamless service. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable occasions by supporting our servers and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
Duties
- Clear and reset banquet tables efficiently between courses and events to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Assist with food and beverage delivery by bussing tables and ensuring proper food handling practices
- Maintain cleanliness of event spaces by cleaning tables, chairs, and surrounding areas in accordance with sanitation standards
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as tableware, linens, and supplies following safe lifting practices
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly
- Support catering setup and breakdown by transporting supplies and equipment safely around the venue
- Ensure all sanitation protocols are followed to uphold food safety standards throughout events
Skills
- Strong cleaning and sanitation skills to maintain a hygienic environment
- Experience in bussing tables and supporting food service operations in restaurants or catering settings
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Excellent internal communication skills for coordinating with servers, kitchen staff, and management
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards guests
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for the food industry is essential
- Effective communication skills to ensure smooth teamwork during busy events
