Job Summary
Red Elephant is a fast-growing architectural signage company transforming spaces across commercial, multifamily, education, government, and medical sectors.
The HR Manager is responsible for leading all human resources functions for a growing signage manufacturing company of approximately 100 employees. This role is hands-on and strategic, supporting daily HR operations while driving initiatives in recruiting, employee relations, compliance, safety, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, EEOC, OSHA, etc.)
- Maintain employee records, policies, and HR systems
- Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration
- Update and enforce employee handbook and company policies
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles
- Partner with operations leaders to forecast hiring needs
- Develop onboarding and training programs to improve retention
- Manage staffing agencies and recruiting vendors as needed
3. Employee Relations
- Act as primary point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution
- Coach supervisors and managers on performance management and disciplinary actions
- Conduct investigations and ensure fair, consistent application of policies
4. Performance Management & Development
- Implement and manage performance review processes
- Support leadership development and succession planning
- Drive employee engagement initiatives
5. Compensation & Benefits
- Administer compensation structures and support market benchmarking
- Manage benefits programs, enrollments, and vendor relationships
- Support annual salary and bonus planning
6. Safety & Risk Management
- Partner with operations to ensure OSHA compliance and safe workplace practices
- Support safety training, incident investigations, and workers’ compensation cases
- Drive a culture of safety and accountability
7. HR Strategy & Leadership
- Align HR initiatives with business and operational goals
- Provide data-driven insights (turnover, absenteeism, hiring metrics)
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives related to workforce productivity
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
Experience
- 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, signage, or industrial environments
- Experience supporting hourly workforce and multi-department operations
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and compliance requirements
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work both strategically and tactically
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Certifications (Preferred)
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
