Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and other modalities to support patient recovery.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
- Document patient progress accurately through detailed clinical assessment documentation and maintain up-to-date medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and other therapists—to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress expectations, and home exercise programs.
- Conduct assessments of patients’ physiology, anatomy, and mobility status to inform treatment strategies in our skilled nursing facility.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Passed the NPTE Exam.
- Proven experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
- Knowledge of physical therapy treatment implementation techniques including manual therapy and trigger point therapy.
- Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Ability to operate medical equipment used in physiotherapy treatments safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, geriatrics and related medical concepts.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with geriatric patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) management and medical documentation practices.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 20.0 per week
