Role Description
We're hiring an Accounting Manager to own the financial reporting and accounting operations at Recur HQ and across a growing portfolio of vertical software businesses. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone technically sharp, operationally minded and who thrives in fast-moving environments.
You will serve as the primary accounting owner for Recur's headquarters entity while also supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance across a handful of portfolio companies. As we continue to acquire and integrate businesses, your scope will grow with us. If you're a CPA with an appetite for complexity, and a bias toward building systems that scale, this role was written for you.
Qualifications
- CPA license required; active or in good standing
- 4–5 years of experience in controllership, audit or transaction services - you know what good looks like in a monthly close and reporting process
- Hands-on experience with consolidation accounting and multi-entity financial reporting — you've closed books across more than one legal entity
- Familiarity with cross-border accounting and international tax considerations (e.g., foreign currency, transfer pricing, VAT/GST) is a strong plus
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth environment where processes are still being built and priorities shift quickly
- Tech-forward mindset — you're not just proficient in Excel; you actively seek out better tools and have opinions about accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
- Experience with or curiosity about AI-assisted workflows, automation, and tools
- Strong communicator who can translate accounting complexity into clear language for non-finance stakeholders
