We work directly for and with our clients.About the RoleWe’re looking for a detail‐oriented Accounting Generalist to support our local government clients one day per week. The role begins with a focus on Accounts Payable and can expand into broader accounting responsibilities based on experience and performance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, values accuracy, and is comfortable working independently.ResponsibilitiesManage Accounts Payable: enter vendor bills, verify approvals, and prepare weekly paymentsMaintain accurate records in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)Code and track expenses; organize digital and physical documentationAssist with bank and credit card reconciliationsCommunicate with vendors regarding invoices, statements, and payment statusSupport general accounting tasks as neededPotential expanded responsibilities (based on experience)Payroll supportMonth‐end close activitiesFinancial reporting assistanceBudget tracking and analysisQualifications2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceProficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.Understanding of basic accounting principlesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and manage tasks with minimal oversightProfessional communication skillsWork Environment & ScheduleOn‐site in the Barrington / Inverness areaOne day per week; flexible schedulingAdditional hours may be available as the role growsCompensationHourly rate based on experience.
