Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys with commercial real estate and lending transactions from due diligence through closing and post-closing. The ideal candidate will assist with document preparation, closing coordination, title review, and transaction management while ensuring deadlines are met and transactions progress smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Support commercial real estate and lending transactions from opening through post-closing.
- Prepare and organize closing documents, settlement statements, and transaction checklists.
- Coordinate closings and assist with transaction logistics.
- Draft and manage transactional documents including mortgages, notes, guaranties, and UCC filings.
- Order and review title searches, surveys, zoning reports, and other due diligence materials.
- Assist attorneys in resolving title and closing issues.
- Draft and review purchase agreements, leases, easements, amendments, and related real estate documents.
- Track transaction deadlines and ensure timely completion of all requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and government agencies.
- Handle post-closing activities including recordings, final binders, and document organization.
- Perform basic financial calculations such as prorations and amortization schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- 1–5 years of real estate, transactional, or commercial lending paralegal experience.
- Understanding of commercial real estate transactions and closing processes.
- Experience with commercial lending transactions is a plus.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
