HVAC Service Technician
Reputable, stable, growing HVAC heating and cooling company, providing installation and repair services, has an opportunity for you to contribute to our growth and success.
Reporting to the president/owner, the HVAC tech will be responsible for system service, maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, with the ability to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the utmost highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repair, maintenance, and service of HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation
systems.
and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and recommend effective solutions.
Execute repairs and replacements of defective parts, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to manufacturer specifications.
Inspect ductwork and repair to ensure optimal airflow and system efficiency.
Thermostat and control system programming and troubleshooting.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, recommend repairs, and answer questions clearly and courteously.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics.
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national codes and safety regulations.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets company and client standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.
Prepare project reports and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Additional technical training or certification is a plus.
Valid HVAC license in Connecticut preferred and EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
Minimum of 3- 5 years of relevant HVAC experience.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and materials.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
