What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Numerical Control Machinist position at Recruiting Solutions?
We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate HAAS CNC milling machines to produce high-quality, precision components. This is a critical role requiring hands-on experience with HAAS equipment and the ability to step in with minimal training.
Pay: Up to $25 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate HAAS CNC milling machines
- Load appropriate metal materials onto machines
- Monitor machine performance and adjust for tool wear, material issues, or calibration problems
- Inspect raw materials for correct type, thickness, and grade
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy against blueprints
- Identify and report nonconforming parts or production issues to the supervisor
- Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Follow all safety guidelines and company ISO quality procedures
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating HAAS CNC milling machines
- Experience with HAAS CNC mills and lathes is required
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and technical documents
- Strong understanding of machining processes and precision measurement tools
- Basic math skills including working with fractions and decimals
