What You'll Do
- Design, build, and own ETL pipelines that extract, transform, validate, and load healthcare data using Python and SQL.
- Implement robust data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accurate, complete, and repeatable migrations.
- Balance one‐off scripts with long‐term, reusable data flows based on business needs.
- Collaborate with product, implementation, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve customer data issues.
- Contribute to migration standards, templates, and internal tools that improve speed and reliability across customers.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, bringing strong judgment and prior experience.
- 6–8 years of experience in software engineering or data engineering, including multiple roles with 2 years of tenure.
- Background in roles such as Data Engineer, ETL Engineer, Data Integration Engineer, or Software Engineer (data pipelines).
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building and operating ETL/ELT workflows.
- Experience with healthcare data (claims, eligibility, EHR/EMR, HL7/FHIR, clinical data, etc.) is a significant plus.
- A mindset focused on 100% correctness and completeness, especially in regulated or high‐stakes environments.
- Ability to independently structure ambiguous migration problems into clear, repeatable solutions.
- Comfortable collaborating with non‐engineering teams; customer-facing experience is a plus.
- Nice to have: Experience with TypeScript or modern web application stacks.
- Not an MLOps or large‐scale big data role—this is about precise, small‐scale healthcare data integrations.
- Not a BI/reporting or data analyst role—the focus is building and maintaining production pipelines.
- Base salary: $145,000–$165,000
