A growing community-based healthcare organization in New Orleans is seeking an experienced Credentialing Specialist to manage provider credentialing and payer enrollment. This role is critical to ensuring providers are credentialed accurately, on time, and without disruptions to patient care or billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage initial credentialing, recredentialing, and payer enrollment for healthcare providers
- Collect, verify, and maintain provider documentation (licenses, DEA, board certs, malpractice, etc.)
- Maintain CAQH profiles and payer rosters; track expirables and deadlines
- Follow up with payers and internal teams to resolve credentialing issues
- Maintain accurate logs, trackers, and credentialing files
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in provider credentialing and/or payer enrollment
- Strong attention to detail and deadline management
- Experience working with multiple providers and payers simultaneously
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; credentialing software experience a plus
- Community health center, clinic, or FQHC experience preferred
