Recruit Staff Hire is partnering with a well-established defense firm on the Northshore to identify an experienced Louisiana-licensed Attorney with a strong background in workers’ compensation defense litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced defense practice and is ready to step into impactful work immediately.
Role:
The ideal candidate brings 5 years of workers’ compensation defense and litigation experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to manage a robust caseload. Appellate experience is a plus.
This position requires periodic travel within Louisiana and offers a comprehensive, competitive compensation and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze complex legal issues in workers’ compensation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and supporting documents
- Prepare detailed reports and case updates
- Conduct depositions and on-site inspections
- Appear in court to argue motions and represent clients
- Participate in mediations and manage cases through trial
- Assist with appellate matters as needed
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana Bar license
- 5 years of workers’ compensation defense and litigation experience (required)
- Strong legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle a fast-moving docket
- Willingness to travel within Louisiana
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
