This is an advisory volunteer hybrid Accountant role based in Philadelphia, PA. The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial reports. Day-to-day tasks include reconciling accounts, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations, filing taxes. The Accountant will work closely with the management team to provide financial insights that guide decision-making and strategic initiatives. Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Proficiency in accounting software, bookkeeping, and handling accounts payable/receivable
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate financial data and trends
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools is an advantage
- Experience in non-profits or social services organizations is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is an added advantage
