Qualifications
Required:
- RHIT or RHIA certification (or eligibility)
- Strong computer skills and experience working in EMR systems
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in healthcare admissions, medical records, or healthcare administration
- Experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or neuro/brain injury setting
- Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referrals
- Understanding of HIPAA and medical documentation standards
- Compassionate and patient-focused mindset
- Ability to work with individuals recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and neurological conditions
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
