RECAP is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our team on a temp basis. Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, this part-time position that will occur for the span of about 4 weeks, offers the opportunity to support a dynamic HR department and gain valuable experience with potential for full-time growth. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining employee records, supporting HR processes, and ensuring smooth communication across the organization. Responsibilities- Handle confidential materials and information with discretion and sensitivity
- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate personnel files for all employees
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining the employee database and managing HR department emails
- Track and record employee attendance and leave requests
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication
- Update and maintain content on the company intranet
- Digitize paper documents and maintain electronic filing systems
- Assist in updating and distributing the employee handbook
- Demonstrate understanding of the employment life cycle and HR best practices
- Support additional HR projects and tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; HR certifications are a plus
- 1-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a human resources or office setting
- Valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Paylocity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to interpret and apply HR principles and best practices
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
